Rooftop Bars in Melbourne

Tuesday, 24 January 2017

It's always 5 o'clock somewhere...

Melbourne's many rooftop bars are summer favourites for locals, so we thought we'd let you in on the secrets of our cocktail-loving town.

Naked in the Sky
285 Brunswick St, Fitzroy VIC
Sample infused vodkas and Basque-inspired eats while you enjoy some of Melbourne's best city views.

Madame Brussels
Level 3, 59-63 Bourke St, Melbourne VIC
Feeling French? Sip a house speciality of Pimms, punch or rosé in the city terrace garden with urban views.

1 and 2, 31 Tattersalls Lane, Melbourne VIC
Named after a surrealist Polish novel and serving a strict menu of fancy hot dogs, this one is hipster heaven and can't be missed.

Goldilocks Bar
Level 4, 264 Swanston St Melbourne VIC
A great winter bar, with cozy leather couches and staff who know their liquor.

Corner Hotel
57 Swan St, Richmond VIC
You'll go for the live music, and stay for the rooftop. Classic beers on tap and pub food with a Melbourne twist.

The Local Taphouse
184 Carlisle St, St Kilda East VIC
A European tavern-style with a huge array of specialty beers, and truly full of locals.

188 Carlisle St, St Kilda VIC
Fresh Vietnamese served on handmade crockery in a designer interior. Don't miss the Vietnamese Sangria with red wine, lychee and cognac.

Rooftop Bar
Level 7, Curtin House 252 Swanston St, Melbourne
Atop the 7 floors of Curtin House, this is the classic Melbourne rooftop experience. From December through to March, the space transforms into the Rooftop Cinema where you can enjoy a film with a view.
