Whether you prefer a gentle afternoon ride or a pumping city work out, cycling is a great way to see Melbourne.
The Capital City Trail
Wind through historic Melbourne on this flat and car-free 30km city loop, through Federation Square, Docklands, Melbourne Zoo and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Stop off in a trendy suburb of your choice for a coffee pit-stop.
The best part is you don’t even have to BYO bike – Melbourne Bike Share allows you to grab a bike from the CBD with complimentary helmet for $10 for 90 minutes.
The Bay Trail
To get out of the CBD, try the Bay Trail along the coastline of Port Phillip Bay, from Luna Park St Kilda through Brighton. We challenge you to resist the smell of fish and chips from beachside eateries to make it to Half Moon Bay, the scenic final destination.
