Built in 1910 this grand old home in historic Windsor, bisecting famous Chapel street, has been totally renovated and is infused with personality. A historic Storybook awaits you.

Featured in House and Garden, the owners of this classic Edwardian era home had one criterion for its interior design: to bring travellers joy. The result is a colourful, art-filled haven of sheer delight, a real Wonderland. The word to describe it would be ‘playful’ but it’s still refined. This is a home that conveys joy, bringing together a love of fun quirky pieces and stunning art. Count the many bunnies that populate each room.

Double glazing in the main bedroom ensures you can sleep easy at night. Both the main and second bedroom with Queen bed are showcased by the a massive Gilt framed mirror atop the ornamental grand period fireplace. The grey and neutral palette add a sense of sophistication. 

Bedroom 3 has 2 king single beds and is a huge favourite with the young at heart. As you enter the room your gaze is taken upwards to the Hot Air Balloon and replica vintage aeroplane. You are then invited to shift around the room from top to bottom, taking in each attractive detail. The neutral styling pallet is decorated with pops of red complimenting the rooms energy level.

The bathroom is your place of relaxation with the full size bath, shower enclosure and a separate toilet. Plus a hidden European laundry with washing machine.

Leaving the bedrooms venture further down the hallway admiring the black and white history told in the prints along the wall and enter the lounge room. The addition of royal blue walls gives this room drama enhanced by the stunning artwork - an ode to the Sun Cinema in Yarraville. The theatrical is continued with the quirky Amusement Park collectables acquired over many years and generously shared with our guests to admire. Settle in and watch a Netflix “must see” on the Ultra HD TV with LG Soundbar.  

Venture next into the light filled kitchen with bi-fold doors that open out fully onto the landing and newly modelled courtyard with wooden decking. Oh and don’t forget your furry friend – they are welcome also (max 25 kgs, 1 dog, no cats sorry). The kitchen has everything you need including a Nespresso coffee machine, an 8 seater timber dining table, Sony TV and modern appliances.

Parking is in Gladstone street which runs alongside the home, we have two parking permits available for you.

Pet Friendly

Please advise if you would like to bring your dog. Dogs are welcome upon application and must fit the following criteria: 1 small-medium dog only.

Pets need to have all common vaccinations. Guests must provide their pets bedding, water and food bowls. Pets are not allowed in bedrooms or on any furniture. Guests are responsible for 100% of costs related to pet clean-up. That includes paying for landscaping/gardening and for any time spent cleaning up pet waste in the yard so that our cleaners can do the rest of their job safely. 

Pets are not to be left alone in the property as they may become distressed and disturb other residents. A $40 fee applies.

Supplies
We provide you with a starter pack of essential household items such as toiletries, dish washing detergent, washing powder, dish cloths, scrubbing brush, paper towels and toilet paper on check in. You will then need to purchase all necessities for the continuation of your stay.

Cleaning Service
Staying 9+ nights? We include compulsory interim housekeeping. Additional cleans can be provided on request. Staying between 3 and 8 nights? Let our housekeeping team provide you with a fresh, clean apartment! Price will be advised on request.

 

Security Deposit and Guest Information
Please note we will deduct $500 from your credit card 10 days prior to your arrival. This will then be returned upon inspection of the property after your departure. If we need to make a claim against your security deposit it covers an amount up to $1000, which may include but is not limited to the following:

Excess cleaning fees, Excess laundering fees (inc. sleeping directly on to doonas, pillows, mattresses), Dirty BBQ, Excess garbage removal, Damage or breakages at the property, Loss of keys or scanners and Late check-out.

Our rates are based on twin share. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed in advance. Please include all adults and children in your enquiry. If you have babies please advise their ages also.

Please note the property cannot accept guests under the age of 24 unless accompanied by a minimum of 1 adult, over the age of 24, present the whole stay. If this rule is breached, your security deposit will be forfeited and you may be evicted at any stage.
